      Dr. Zheng Fei obtained her Ph. D. degree from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Her research interests are Greek Tragedies and Mythology, American Contemporary theaters, corpus analysis on literature as well as British Literature.
      Course goals
      This course aims to trace back to the origin of western culture and literature, broaden students view on literature, esp. Tragedies, cultivate in students the ability of analyzing cultural and literary phenomena and complexes.
      Topics
      Topics to be covered in this course include gods, goddesses, Homer’s epics (Iliad and Odyssey), 3 Greek tragedians (Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides) and their tragedies.
